This supplement has been specially developed to stimulate the production of red blood cells in horses. The main ingredient is beetroot juice. Beetroot juice is a powerful source of vitamins (e.g. Vit A, Vit B1, Vit B2 and Vit C) and contains a large number of minerals (calcium, sodium, magnesium, iron, folate and phosphorus). In addition to the beetroot juice, iron and copper were added in their glycinate forms. Iron, as well as copper, is very important for the formation and production of hemoglobin. In glycinate-form, the iron chemically binds with glycine, the smallest amino acid, and will immediately be recognized by the horse’s body. The iron glycinate will follow a different pathway in the body resulting in faster and better absorption and therefore, a better effect. The complete vitamin B-complex has been added to this mixture because of the importance it has in the production of red blood cells.
